The ETIAS application must be submitted online. If your application is rejected, you will find the reasons for the rejection in the email. You also have the right to access your file.
You can appeal the rejection. You can also file an appeal with the court.
Our office can assist you with filing an appeal.
- Has used a travel document that has been registered as lost, stolen, misappropriated, or invalidated in the SIS
- Poses a security risk
- Poses a risk of illegal immigration
- Poses a high epidemiological risk
- Is flagged in the Schengen Information System
- Does not respond to requests for information or an interview
A previous refusal does not automatically lead to the rejection of future applications. However, it is highly likely that a new application will be rejected for the same reasons. Therefore, we recommend requesting your file. This will tell you the exact reason for the ETIAS refusal. If the refusal is unjustified, you can file a reasoned appeal.
If a standard application has been refused or withdrawn, an ETIAS with limited validity for a single country and a specific duration can be applied for.
The ETIAS can then be applied for on:

- National interest of the Member State of the country issuing the ‘limited’ ETIAS
